Howe Racing Enterprises Unveils the 2025 HR6 Road Race Car

Indianapolis, Indiana – December 13, 2024

Howe Racing Enterprises is proud to announce the debut of the 2025 HR6 road race car, unveiled yesterday at The Performance Racing Industry Trade Show. Weighing under 2,600 pounds and powered by a 400-horsepower V6 engine, the HR6 was developed to bridge the gap between compact sports cars and professionally built race cars, offering affordable agility and performance.

Third-generation race car builder Charlie Howe collaborated with Turn Key Motorsports Engineer Jack Rinke to bring this vision to life, supported by the same experienced Howe Racing team responsible for vehicles in premier racing categories worldwide, including Scandinavia's V8 Thunder Car, Mexico's Súper Copa, and the TA2 categories in the USA, Australia and New Zealand. The HR6’s features include:

  • Innovative Design: The “Kato” fiberglass body merges modern compact sports car aesthetics with timeless U.S. muscle car influences.
  • High-Performance Powertrain: A Turn Key Motorsports port-injected 4.3-liter GM V6 engine producing 400 horsepower and 365 ft-lbs of torque. It features a Dailey dry sump oil system and a Holley Performance ECU.
  • Precision Wheels and Tires: Howe-spec 18" x 9.5" monoblock forged aluminum wheels (22 lbs each) fitted with Maxxis Victra RC-1 100 treadwear tires, with compatibility for various racing tires.

The HR6 includes features like single-adjustable Howe shocks, six-piston Wilwood brakes, Sweet rack and pinion steering, and a five-speed Tremec transmission. Engineered to accommodate readily available aftermarket racing components, the HR6 aims to be an affordable solution for both club and pro-level racers.

“By homologating the HR6 with high-value, off-the-shelf components, we’re making serious road racing more accessible to a broader audience,” said Charlie Howe. “Our mission is to deliver a car that balances performance, affordability, and versatility for racers worldwide.”
